Balance & Form: The First Project

I had balance and form, which seemed really simple because it's balance and 3-D shape.  I balanced this to the left side by placing my orange soda bottle to the left and blurring out the background.

I evened out this image by placing both halves of my bagels side-by-side so the image wouldn't be balanced to either one side or the center.

I arranged my crayons in a triangle shape to fill up nearly the entire frame.

Balance & Form (aka Deustchenfest 2009)

These little kids were blowing bubbles and dancing around in front of the stage when the Protze's were playing.  With this shot, I just did a selective black and white and altered the levels to make the bubbles more reflective and the little girl lighter.

When bands play polka, the old folks will dance.  I love watching the old couples dance together.  I hope when I'm that age, I'm still (or even) married to somebody I can still dance with.

I just loved this little boy.  I increased the contrast and messed with the levels to make everything really dark so I could really make his eyes almost eerily bright.

Waiting & Excitement

I just applied to start in January at STI's BRAND NEW animation program! I've got to send in my transcript and wait. I can't do the FAFSA until January though; I hope they'll still let me in....I hate waiting.

Completed Modigliani

I went in Photoshop and added a burlap texture to the original Modigliani photo.

Wyeth Pt. II

I redid my Wyeth assingment. Looking back at all three Wyeths (especially the middle one), landscapes were more fitting for this assingment so I brought up some of the pictures I took at the Outdoor Campus a couple weeks ago.

Dunny's Day Out

Over Labor Day weekend, I took Mr. Dunny outside to complete my Wyeth assingment. I tried to use Birds Eye view, close up and far-away angles to show just how small Mr. Dunny and whatever pet he has with him to show just how small they really are. I tried to make all the photos show how he (kind of being 'we') are almost completely insignificant when compared to the grandeur of other things in the universe.

Modigliani

This is my revised Modigliani. I pulled the basket weave pattern from just the shoulder to up the neck right under the chin to pull the eyes up. I added more of that little circle pattern on the bottom cheek for no particular reason other than I think it looks good. I like this finished/revised version better than the first one...now onto my homework!
